Moving from elementary school is more than simply moving to a larger building. Students experience new subjects, new friends, more teachers and a rotating timetable. As students explore their new environment, they gain increased confidence and independence.  Our new Raiders learn school cheers, participate in extra-curricular activities and enjoy many aspects that make up our Chippewa school culture.
A variety of transition activities are planned to help orient your Grade 6 child during the school year. These activities include:
- School Newsletters
- Visits by Grade 7 and 8 students to feeder schools
- Visits to Chippewa for special events
- Grade 6/8 Parent Night
- Mini Raider Day transition activities
- and more...
Through these activities, students will gain a familiarity with their new school, meet their new teachers and learn more about the extracurricular opportunities available to them. Parents are encouraged to be a part of the transition process and questions are always welcomed.
