The ICE Program provides referrals to short-term counselling for Ontario children and youth under age 18 who have experienced exploitation involving the use of technology (not necessarily or solely through the internet), as well as their impacted family members.
Victims can self-refer to the program or be referred to the program by someone they trust – a teacher, counsellor, principal, police officer or victim services worker.
When referring someone to the program, you must have their verbal permission to do so.
If approved, the child/youth will receive up to $1500 of counselling with a local therapist and one impacted family member (ex. parent/caregiver) will receive up to $1000 with a local therapist.
